My Creative Journey
Getting to know so creative

Veronica “So Creative” Essex is a multi dimensional creative director, producer, writer, designer, digital illustrator, poet, and apologist whose work lives where art, faith, and healing meet. Her creativity is shaped by an intimate relationship with God and a prophetic grace that has guided her voice, her vision, and her calling. Every piece she creates carries the imprint of restoration, revelation, and the quiet power of a heart that has learned to trust God through both beauty and brokenness.
Veronica has spent more than twenty years bringing ideas to life through creative direction and curation, visual design, spoken word, stage productions, and immersive storytelling. Her artistry blends color, sound, movement, scripture, and emotion in ways that invite people to breathe, to feel, to release, and to remember that God is still near. Whether she is designing visuals or delivering verses, she approaches every project with a deep desire to lift burdens, spark imagination, and draw people into a moment where the presence of Christ can be felt.
Her journey through grief and healing led to the creation of Good Grief Great God, a transformative production that merges spoken word, visual art, music, movement, and testimony. What began as a personal conversation with God became an experience that has touched audiences with its honesty, creativity, and spiritual depth. Through this work, Veronica opens a space for people to grieve honestly, encounter God intimately, and rise with renewed hope.
Today Veronica continues to create work that honors the stories of others while reflecting the faithfulness of God in her own life. She directs, designs, teaches, writes, performs, and builds community centered experiences that encourage people to heal, to dream, and to see themselves through the lens of heaven.

So Creative exists to create spaces for people to encounter Christ.
so Creative's current Vision and Purpose
My current focus is Good Grief, Great GOD.
Good Grief, Great God is growing into a full encounter, a living expression of faith, storytelling, and creative healing that invites people to meet God in the very places they have questioned, carried, avoided, or survived. What began as my own journey through loss has evolved into an immersive production that combines spoken word, visual art, movement, community reflection, and worship to create a space where hearts can breathe again and hope can rise. As this vision expands into larger stages, deeper programming, workshops, and a more robust ensemble experience, I am actively seeking sponsors and partners who believe in the power of healing centered art and want to be part of bringing this transformative work to more audiences. Your support helps sustain the production, elevate the artists, provide accessible experiences for communities, and build a space where people can encounter Christ through creativity, compassion, and truth.
